Background

Oromia Technical and Vocational Education and Training Bureau is one of public institution among 32 Bureaus of Oromia Regional States established with the objective of producing lower and middle-level, competent, motivated, adaptable and innovative workforce in the Region, which can contribute to poverty reduction and social and economic development through facilitating demand-driven, high-quality technical and vocational education and training and transfer of demanded technology. Currently, the Bureau has nearly 100 professional staffs at regional level and administering 176 public and 132 Private and totally 308 TVET Colleges in the region. Among these 24 of them are Poly Technic Colleges.

Mission

Based on labor market demand, to deliver quality and effective Technical & Vocational Education Training (TVET), in so doing to make MSEs a base for industry development and to transfer effective and efficient technology thus, peoples in the country are served by the output of TVET.

Vission

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Oromia seeks to create competent and self-reliant citizens to contribute to the economic and social development of the region, thus improving the livelihoods of all nationalities and sustainably reducing poverty.
